NEMA has worked with IFOB since 2015 to promote their annual awards event, helping to grow the event in terms of attendance and nominations received. The 20th annual Maine Family Business Awards, celebrated in 2019, were a big hit, receiving an “Excellent” rating from more than three quarters of survey respondents who attended the gala. IFOB received 157 nominations, of which 32 were semi-finalists and 25 finalists, leading to seven award winners. NEMA’s PR efforts on behalf of IFOB included press releases and earned media placements as well as social media. These efforts resulted in a sold out event with a record 500 people in attendance.
