The rules for using this site.

These terms govern your use of nemediaassociates.com, which is owned and operated by Northeast Media Associates (NEMA, we, us) of 141 Brigham Street, South Portland, Maine 04106. By using the site you agree to them. If you do not agree, the remedy is simple: do not use the site.

These terms cover the website only. If NEMA does public relations, social media, video, design, web, or project management work for you, that work is governed by the written proposal and agreement we sign together, and where the two conflict, the signed agreement wins.

You may browse the site, read it, and share links to it. You agree not to:

• Copy, scrape, or republish the site's content in bulk, or use automated tools to harvest data from it, other than ordinary search engine indexing.
• Use the contact form or missing page form to send spam, sales pitches unrelated to a real inquiry, or anything unlawful, threatening, or abusive.
• Try to gain access to any part of the site that is not public, including the content management area, or probe the site for vulnerabilities.
• Interfere with the site's operation, or misrepresent who you are when you contact us through it.

We may block access from any source that breaks these rules, without notice.

The text, design, photography, video, and layout of this site belong to NEMA or are used with permission, and are protected by copyright and trademark law. The NEMA name and logo are ours. You may not use them without our written consent.

The client names, logos, campaign materials, and press coverage that appear in our work examples belong to those clients or to the outlets that published them. They appear here to show work NEMA did on their behalf. Nothing on this site grants you any right to use a client's marks or materials, and their appearance does not mean a client endorses anything beyond the work described.

Results described in our case studies are what happened for that client, in that campaign, at that time. They are not a promise of what will happen for you.

Sending us a message through the contact form starts a conversation. It does not create a client relationship, retain NEMA, or obligate either of us to anything. Rates, timelines, and scope mentioned on the site or in early conversation are indicative until they appear in a signed proposal.

Please do not send confidential business information through the contact form. Until we have a signed agreement with confidentiality terms, we cannot treat what you send as protected, though we will handle it with ordinary professional care and as described in our Privacy Policy.

The site links to social networks, client websites, and media outlets we do not control. We are not responsible for their content, availability, or practices. The site also relies on services such as Base44 for hosting and Google for analytics and fonts, and their availability affects ours.

The site is provided as is and as available. We work to keep it accurate and running, but we do not warrant that it will be error-free, uninterrupted, or free of anything harmful, and we do not warrant the accuracy or completeness of anything on it. To the fullest extent the law allows, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

Nothing on the site is legal, financial, or professional advice for your situation. Public relations advice comes from talking to us, not from reading a web page.

To the fullest extent the law allows, NEMA and its owners, employees, and contractors will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, special, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, revenue, data, or goodwill, arising from your use of or inability to use the site, even if we were told such damages were possible. If we are found liable for anything connected to the site, our total liability will not exceed one hundred U.S. dollars.

Some jurisdictions do not allow certain warranty disclaimers or liability limits. Where that applies to you, the limits above apply only as far as the law permits.

If your misuse of the site or violation of these terms causes a claim against NEMA, you agree to cover the reasonable costs, including attorney's fees, of dealing with it.

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Maine, without regard to its conflict of law rules. Any dispute about the site or these terms will be brought in the state or federal courts located in Cumberland County, Maine, and you consent to their jurisdiction. Before filing anything, we would both rather you emailed us first. Most problems are quicker to fix that way.

We may update these terms from time to time. The effective date at the top tells you when the current version took effect. If you keep using the site after a change, you accept the new terms. If any part of these terms is found unenforceable, the rest still stands.
